Having only used the bag a couple of times, once in the garden and once for a wild camp in woods, I can honestly say I am delighted with it. I bought it for two main reasons, firstly the size. Although I’m only 5’ 9”, I wanted to have the option of keeping my backpack inside and my 50ltr pack fits perfectly at the foot end. I also wanted enough room for a deep and wide sleeping mat as I’m a side sleeper. Again this works perfectly with plenty of width and height. Secondly I wanted a bivvy with a bug net. The net on the Venture works really well and is kept off my face with the lightweight plastic pole. Talking of which, this is my only concern. While the bags materials seem robust and durable, the pole seems somewhat fragile however; so far so good. I’m yet to test the bag in wet weather however; the HH figure is impressive. Likewise I cannot vouch for the breathability although I’m relatively sure you can expect some condensation as with most bags under £300. All in all I’m delighted with my purchase.
