So after pitching this in the garden for the first time this afternoon, I was immediately struck by just how easily and quickly this little shelter goes up! Both the outer and inner go up in one, which is a huge advantage if the weather suddenly turns for the worse..
Once inside it was a very cosy space indeed, but in a good way - and it was also very easy to get inside through the large side entrance, it even has a decent 40cm wide vestibule for my 50L pack.
I was also very happy that my extra-wide Thermarest Neo Air X-therm mat fit inside nicely, however I doubt that the ‘extra long’ (or squared off variety mats) would fit inside of it! It seemed to be a nice warm little space when fully zipped in, just hope that it doesn’t suffer from condensation issues with being so compact, but only time will tell on that one.
It’s certainly NOT a shelter for spending long winter nights in, but I knew this upon buying it. I brought this for more stealthy wild camps! It will get first use out in the wild come April time. It also packs down super small in its stuff sack…
First impressions are really good, can’t wait to use it in the coming weeks!
Thanks Fresh Air Junkie - for the fast and efficient service, and the fee delivery also!
Wouldn’t hesitate to use again..
