"Firepot has been five years in the making. As adventurists trekking through Greenland, we wanted our hikes to be punctuated by slow-cooked, natural food that tasted delicious. We wanted a healthy, hearty meal that didn’t weigh us down or keep us waiting. And we couldn’t find it anywhere.
So we made our own in a Dorset barn — delicious, nutritious, dehydrated slow-cooked meals inspired by our travels. We’ve kept it lightweight and easy to use so it can be enjoyed from the heights of the Himalayas to the fjords of Chile. All you have to do is add water."

Vegan Orzo Bolognese
"A rich tomato and oregano sauce with protein-packed soya. Served with rice-shaped pasta.
Italian Comfort Food with a Twist
Our vegan orzo bolognese is a twist on the classic Italian dish.
Instead of beef mince, we use healthy soya; instead of spaghetti, we used orzo — tiny, rice-shaped pasta. To this we add a delicate balance of oregano and star anise, mixed in a traditional tomato sauce.
This is a meal guaranteed to please the whole family, offering a real a taste of Italian comfort food when you’re far away from home."

Orzo Bolognese delicious, Vegan Chilli also good, but the Firepot Dal with Spinach was almost inedible as it included red chillis which burned my mouth and took away any taste. In my experience you always need to add extra water to Firepot meals and allow more than the recommended 15 mins - although the rice in the Dal meal never fully rehydrated.

Porcini Mushroom Risotto
"Risotto has always been a favourite in our household. We like to make it the old school way — rich and creamy, with just the right amount of bite. We’ve tasted many different risottos in our search for the best recipe, but nothing could beat the ones that were packed with mushrooms. So we use two kinds: dried porcini, soaked to create a delicious, satisfying stock, and grilled chestnut mushrooms. And we don’t chop our mushrooms finely like a lot of our competitors. You’ll find big, juicy slices, just like you would if you made it at home. Finished with lemon juice and fresh parsley, our risotto is guaranteed to warm you whether you’re eating atop a mountain or round the kitchen table. "

Firepot Healthy Dehydrated 1 Person Expedition Food - Christmas Dinner
When Ernest Shackleton was stuck in Antarctica for the polar winter of 1902, he didn’t have Firepot’s flavourful festive dinner. Our slow-cooked turkey comes with all the trimmings, including sweet bursts of cranberry, pork stuffing, and an earthy hint of seasonal Brussels sprouts. Designed to power you up mountains and across frozen wastelands, it’s also made to spread good cheer. It even comes with a paper hat and a party joke so you can get in the festive spirit anywhere.

Great socks very comfortable and warm
Good quality gaiter. Good value for money.
Excellent headlamp, with a good range of brightness levels and very comfortable to wear, fresh air junkie had the best price online and excellent speed of delivery.
These are perfect for winter wildlife photography. Saw them first in a couple of shops for £60 so couldn’t turn them down at this price. Delivered in time for my birthday too.
I chose this Solo Windmaster after much researching reviews etc having always had good reviews. One main point was because it had four arms rather than with many of the cookers that have three (You can get this cooker with the tri mount arm instead if you want to save weight but, its just a few grams difference). This is because I found with my current cooker you had to place my mess tin carefully to avoid it wobbling and risk falling off. The Solo Windmaster with the 4 flex no longer gives me that issue. Also it heats up so much quicker and far less affected by the wind than my current cooker. I even found that while it was taller than my old cooker this windmaster folds up smaller due to its design so, that was a bonus for me packing it up in my motorcycle bag. I highly recommend this if you want a compact wind resistant and well made cooker. There are cheaper good cookers out there but ultimately the four arm option along with the build quality on this Windmaster made it worth the extra cost for me.
