Properly waterproof, but absolutely not for all day, every day, long distance walking. These were used on the Skye Trail when feet got VERY wet and there was nothing for it but to wear these for some respite (wet feet get soft and blister far more easily).
Feel mildly peculiar to wear, breathability isn’t a great strength, nor really is comfort. Better for more static use like grouse shooting or watching sport in the open air in muddy fields
Ordered this compass for my daughters Duke of Edinburgh.
Arrived within the timescale given and well packaged.
Ticks all the boxes, light, bright, waterproof from rain (so far so good) and a rear light ideal for dark country lanes
I've just used these gaiters for the first time on a walk in the very soggy Yorkshire dales and they did everything that I needed them to do. They were a doddle to fit and kept the water from running into my boots. They're really lightweight so you don't really notice that you're wearing them.
I really like how compact this set is. It has everything you need and just fits together do well.
Freshairjunkie gave a good price and an excellent service. After an initial faulty product (acknowledged by Trangia to be a problem in their factory), Simon Hammans at Freshairjunkie was quick to acknowledge, address and resolve the problem. All ended well, thanks to Simon's personal attention and effort.
